The Gold-Plated Ferrari Exists and It Costs Around £200,000
Have you seen this gold-plated Ferrari in your city?
Nowadays people are starting to get greedy and are looking for every occasion to show off their richness.
Now having a Ferrari is too mainstream this guy wanted to be different and made his car look like a million bucks.
Who is the owner of this marvelous car?
The owner of the gold-plated Ferrari is the kickboxing world champion Riyadh Al-Azzawi. He wanted his car to be gold-plated to match his medal collection.
The athlete remains undefeated in all 47 of his career bouts and has retained his world champion title since winning it in 2008.
The shiny gold-vinyl Ferrari 458 Spider turned heads in London when the athlete took the car for a spin.
But seriously now, it is a gold-plated Ferrari and it is normal to turn heads whenever it’s going.
How much did he pay to make it gold-plated?
Regarding the price of the car itself, it is believed that the color he used came in at a somewhat more affordable £4,000.
The not so common car it is believed to be the only car of its kind in the UK. So far anyway.
The Ferrari 458 Spider is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine with a top speed of 199mph.
We are not surprised that the fighter chose this car, because supercars are always something of a status symbol and Ferrari cars come pretty high up on that rank.
And it seems that for the kickboxing star just having one of the fastest cars on the market wasn’t enough, he had to make it gold.
The car was photographed while the fighter was training in a nearby gym. The photos were taken while the athlete was training and parked the Italian supercar outside the gym.
Some Specs for the car?
It is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine which, located behind the driver, develops a whopping 562bhp. This gives it a 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 199mph.
Tim Burton, who runs the YouTube car channel Shmee150, which makes videos about supercars seen around the capital, said:
‘I’ve seen some pretty exciting cars roaming the streets of London, but a golden Ferrari is about as bold as you can get. If you want to cause a scene, this is the way to do it.’
But not everyone was impressed, with The Car Expert blog tweeting: ‘Have just seen a gold-wrapped #Ferrari 458 Spider in Knightsbridge. Hideously tastelessly awful.’
The Ferrari 458 Spider is the convertible version of the popular supercar which is widely regarded as one of the greatest cars built by the Italian firm.
