8. Rolls-Royce Phantom I
Also called the 40/50 Phantom, this Rolls-Royce model was a replacement for the original Silver Ghost.
Introduced in 1925 as the “New Phantom”, the car had a larger engine, and used pushrod-operated overhead valves instead of side valves which were used on the Silver Ghost model.
In therms of production, the Rolls-Royce Phantom I was manufactured in 2269 in UK, and 1240 units in the US.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom I 4-door sedan came equipped with a 7,668 cc (468 cu in) I6 engine, and a 3 or 4-speed manual transmission, and exactly like the Twenty model, only the chassis and mechanical parts were made by Rolls-Royce.
