2. 1940s bottle of J. Wray & Nephew: $54,000

The second most expensive bottle of rum in the world is a 1949s bottle of J. Wray & Nephew which comes with a price tag of $54,000.

The rum is famous for its huge price tag which is due to its purity, age and exclusivity of the drink itself.

The bottle comes from a famous island, like some of the bottles of rum from this list – Jamaica.

J. Wray and Nephew is one of Jamaica’s oldest rum producers and one of the country’s biggest rum exporters.

The company was bought in 2012 by Gruppo Campari.
