How to Inspire myself to achieve targets?

By Hussain pithawala

I am going through a very bad phase of life where i am just sleeping or eating enough and postponing the assignments. I need some motivation to work hard and get good grades in finals.

  • Hi Hussein! When I sit down to study I constantly think about my “Why”, or “Why am I studying hard?”.
I imagine how good it will feel to be a great doctor and be able to make a real difference in people’s lives in future, being able to buy somewhere nice to live; the look on my parents face when I can buy them somewhere nice to live too, and they don’t have to worry about their retirement anymore. Perhaps clarifying your “why” will help too.
Figure out what time of day you study best. For me, I’m twice as productive in the mornings compared to the evenings, so I endeavour to study then. But for you it might be different.
Find a method of study that works for you. I use virtual flashcards (you can download ANKI for free) to help me reinforce and remember key points, but something else might work better for you.
Finally, make sure you’re eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep and looking after yourself – you always study better when you’re healthy!
Good luck Hussein, and all the best with your studies!
