I’m a teenager; should I do what I love or what my parents want?

I’m just (almost) 15 and I feel I like certain stuff but not other. My parents say I don’t like anything and lost interest of everything because I changed sport, lost interest of a hobby that was actually kinda agonistic (should I quit with it?) and I also don’t practise a lot with my musical instrument. But I’m really into art and writing (and ofc reading). What should I do?
I also have high grades but I don’t really care about them, I feel like my parents are interested in them more than I am… I mean, nobody’s perfect.

You should follow your dreams (with reasoning). If you’re being forced into something it could potentially lead to you not being able to perform to your greatest ability. Doing what you love is how you live the best life possible. In the long run it can actually lead to a higher lifespan and just generally being happier. To add to that, doing what you love can get you more opportunities in life because you would be a committed, hard working, and caring of your job or hobby. Ultimately, it’s up to you at the end of the day. If you feel like your parents are leading you in the right direction for success in life, go for it. But, if it’s not going to spark any happiness in your life follow what you love. At the end of the day, it’s your life and you’re the one guiding it.

Same thing happened to me I was forced to study medicine when I wanted to be a pilot but that didn’t stop me from taking online aeronautic engineering courses and getting an online degree
