Writing a CV can be a labor of love, but all too often, when it comes to working applications, love can go unrequited in today’s volatile economic climate. I would be considerably wealthier if I had a dollar for each time a client said they had not received an answer to a work application.
Like a first date, when it comes to writing a resume, it is important to make a strong first impression. Employers and recruiters prefer to operate under a strict policy of ‘love (or at least attraction!)’ in the first place, and you can expect instant rejection if your resume is not up to scratch.
