OK, there’s really no list of the best tv shows or sitcoms without mentioning Seinfeld, could be the

greatest TV show of all time in al genres, the show about nothing became so popular that Jerry

and the rest of the cast turned into superstars after the first season. Seinfeld ran for nine seasons

on NBC network from 1989 to 1998, the show was crated by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld when

Jerry played himself in the show, obviously with some additions but the show is really about him.

The show showcase Jerry and his friends as they get into weird and hilarious situations, usually

involving a female cast member. The three closest friends of Jerry on the show are George

Constanza, Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer. The show nickname “ a show about nothing “ came

to be because a lot of the episodes are about everyday things that most people do and are not that

interesting, but they managed to make ordinary stuff like going to lunch or grocery shopping into a

whole thing that is usually very funny. The show was one of NBC’s most popular shows ever

created, together with ER Seinfeld was in the top two spots from 1994 to 1998 holding its place as

the funniest show to watch.

If you haven’t watched it yet ( which I really doubt it but still ) you should stop what you’re doing

and start watching now.

2: Friends

Friends was another big hit for NBC network running from 1994 to 2004 with great success. The

show was about six friends in their 20s living in Manhattan trying to get by with work, love and

everything else. The main characters were Ross Gellar, played by David Schwimmer, Jennifer

Aniston who played Rachel Green, Chandler who was played by Matthew Perry, Joey who was

played by Matt LeBlanc, Monica who was played by Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow who played

Interesting things to know about the popular show is that originally it was actually named Insomnia

Cafe and after that, they changed it to Six of One and later Friends Like Us before finally deciding

on Friends which stuck and became the show we all know and love today. All the ten seasons of

the show were ranked at the top ten for the network making it one of the best runs the network

ever had. The show was nominated 62 times for an Emmy award finally winning one during their

eight seasons. Needles to say that every one of the cast members became a huge star of it’s own

after the show ended and played in movies and such, but they will always be remembered as one

of the Friends and we really like it that way right?

3: Married With Children

The show married…with children ran for 10 years on the FOX network becoming the longest ever

sitcom on FOX and its first to be broadcasted on their prime time slot. The married with children

cast was Ed O’Neill who played Al Bundy, a high school football star turned shoe salesman

married to his annoying wife Peggy, played by Katey Sagal. The couple had two children, Kelly

Bundy who was the blonde bombshell that wasn’t that bright, to say the least and Bud, who loved

his ladies but never got a real chance. Kelly was played by Christina Applegate and Bug was

played by David Faustino. Most of the episodes follow Al in his foolish attempts to better his life

and get back into the spot light, but usually, life just keeps bringing him down in hilarious ways. The

show had 11 seasons all together and their theme song became so popular that people who never

knew it started signing it in the streets. Cool things to know about the show is that the first season

was videotaped at ABC Television Center in Hollywood while from season two to the eight season

it was shot at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood. The last three seasons were actually shot in

Culver City. Love and marriage as it sometimes referred to were the father and mother of television

sitcoms, it was the first to dare to make fun of the everyday lives of a lower middle age class family

living in the Chicago area just trying to get by. Some of the jokes on that show were just cruel, but

that was the magic too, it was nonapologetic and in your face and the fans loved every minute of

it. Learn more about Marriage With Children if you like to read about facts you probably never

knew about the show. And don’t forget, four touchdowns in a single game is the greatest

achievement Al Bundy reached in his life.
