We rank by what was paid or what a restaurant charges, and mark the Louis XIII pizza separately because we could not confirm its price from a reliable page.

1. Pizza Royale 007: £2,150
Domenico Crolla, a Scots-born Italian who runs Bella Napoli, made the pizza for the Casino Royale premiere and sold it for charity on eBay. Guinness lists the date as 2007. Another report places the eBay listing in November 2006, so sources disagree on the year.
The toppings were inspired by Ian Fleming’s tastes and include lobster, Beluga caviar, steak, smoked salmon, edible gold leaf and white Italian truffles. The old version of this page also listed Dom Perignon champagne, venison and cognac, which we could not re-verify.
The winning bidder was an Italian lawyer, Maurizio Morelli, who reportedly bought it as a Valentine’s Day gift for his wife. The money went to the Fred Hollows Foundation. This is the all-in charity price and the only auction result on the page.
2. Industry Kitchen 24K Gold: $2,700
The 12-inch pie, created in 2016 by chef Braulio Bunay in lower Manhattan, has a black squid-ink crust, white Stilton, foie gras, truffles, Ossetra and Almas caviar, rose petals and 24-carat gold from Germany and Ecuador. Guinness recognised it in 2017 as the most expensive commercially available pizza.
It is still on the menu in the latest coverage we saw, but diners must order 48 hours ahead. The price is a menu price, so it is not directly comparable with an auction.
3. Pizza Royale 007 on the menu: £750
Without the auction, the Royale 007 normally sells for £750 at Bella Napoli in Glasgow, according to Guinness.
The Louis XIII pizza: reported at $12,000
Some pages credit the Louis XIII Radiator Smoked Pizza, attributed to Renato Viola, at $12,000 and up to 12 hours of work. We found no Guinness or official confirmation, so it stays out of the ranking.
Records set in 2025 and 2026
We found no new record pizza price in 2025 or 2026. A Guinness record for the most cheese varieties on one pizza (1,001, made in France in 2023) is a different kind of record.
