This castle complex is the official and current residence of the President of the Czech Republic.
Occupying an area of almost 70,000 m2, the Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records.
The Prague Castle is and was and icon of power for various dynasties like the kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors and presidents of Czechoslovakia.
Also for those who don’t know, the Prague Castle has a secret room inside where the Bohemian Crown Jewels are placed.
