Vajdahunyad Castle, Budapest, Hungary
We continue our journey to Hungary, Budapest where the Vajdahunyad Castle is located.
The castle was built in 1896 for Millennial Exhibition and it was designed by Ignác Alpár.
The marvelous Hungarian castle offers an exquisite combination of various architectural styles like Renaissance, Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic.
Although it was originally built from wood and cardboard, the Vajdahunyad Castle was rebuilt between 1904 and 1908 from brick and stone.
Today, the castle is the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture and it’s the biggest agricultural museum in Europe.
