4. Audi A8
Manufactured and marketed by the German automaker Audi since 1994, the A8 model is a four-door, full-size, luxury sedan car.
After the original model’s release, back in 1994, Audi released the second generation in the year 2002, and the third and current version in late 2009.
The Audi A8 is known for being the first mass-market car with an aluminium chassis, and I’m going to tell you exactly why.
Audi’s objective was to design and develop a car that would be substantially lighter than any other vehicles in its class, so in 1982 they signed an agreement with Aluminum Company of America.
But the original Audi A8 was first presented in the year 1994, when it debuted at the Geneva Auto Show in March, and setting the start-point of the factory production in June the same year.
