1. Bentley Arnage
And we’re here, at the end of our 10 Best Bentley Models of All Time list, and we’re closing it with the Bentley Arnage!
Produced from 1998 to 2009, the Bentley Arnage was a large luxury car, measuring 5.4 meters (212 in) long, and 1.9 metres (75 in) wide.
The Bentley Arnage along with the Silver Seraph Rolls Royce were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980.
The car was powered by a BMW V8 engine, with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo installation, but in 2007 got a mechanical upgrade, where the Garrett turbochargers were replaced with low-inertia Mitsubishi units designed to improve engine response.
The capacity of the engine was increased from 6,749 cubic centimetres to 6,761 cubic centimetres, and this gave the new Arnage T 493 hp, and a 0–60 mph run in just 5.2 s, capable of reaching a top speed of 290 km/h (180.2 mph).
