6. Bugatti Type 101
The Type 101 manufactured by Bugatti was built in 1951 and 1952, and a later one in 1965.
This model was developed from the pre-war Type 57 in order to restart the production after World War II and the deaths of Ettore Bugatti and his son Jean.
In total seven chassis were built, and were bodied by four different coachbuilders, Guilloré, Antem, Ghia and Gangloff.
The car was powered by a 3.3 L straight-8 engine from the Type 57, and had a 4-speed manual transmission.
The last Type 101 model from Bugatti was built in 1965 by Ghia and was designed by Virgil Exner.
The car was exhibited at the Turin Motor Show in an attempt to revive the marque, but because financing could not be arranged, the production plans were scrapped.
