And here we are at the end of our 10 Best Ford Models of All Time list, closing it with an amazing model manufactured by the Ford company, the Mustang.
Initially based on the platform of the second generation North American Ford Falcon, the Mustang started its production in the year 1964.
The Ford Mustang was brought out five months before the normal start of the 1965 production year, and its name was proposed by the executive stylist John Najjar, who was a fan of the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter plane.
The Mustang made its first appearance on a racetrack little more than a month after its April 17 introduction, as pace car for the 1964 Indianapolis 500.
And in the same year, this model winning first and second in class in the Tour de France international rally.
