8. Chevrolet Corvette
Manufactured by the Chevrolet division of American automotive conglomerate General Motors, the Corvette dates back since 1953.
This car has been produced through seven generations, and the first one was a convertible designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953.
The first generation was originally designed as a show car for the 1953 Motorama display at the New York Auto Show, and it generated enough interest to encourage GM to make a production version to sell to the public.
Over the years, this model received a lot of upgrades, which brings us to the Seventh generation, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette (C7), which had been in development since 2007.
Even though it was originally set to be introduced as the 2011 model car, the Corvette was delayed 3 years, and was finally released for the 2014 model year.
