The brand was first introduced in 1989 in the USA, and now Lexus is sold globally.
It has become Japan’s largest-selling manufacturer of premium cars, and is marketed in over 70 countries and territories worldwide.
With its headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, Lexus has ranked among the ten largest Japanese global brands in market value.
Since the 2000s, the company has increased sales outside its largest market, the USA, through an ongoing global expansion, and in 2005 it became the first Japanese premium car brand to launch in its country of origin.
