7. Mitsubishi
Next on the list and on the number seven, we have the multinational automotive manufacture Mitsubishi!
In the year 2011, the autmobile manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors was the sixth biggest Japanese automaker and the sixteenth biggest worldwide by production.
Their origins date back to 1917, when they introduced the Mitsubishi Model A, Japan’s first series-production automobile.
Back then, the company was called Mitsubishi Shipbuilding, and in 1934 the company merged with the Mitsubishi Aircraft, a company established in 1920 to manufacture aircraft engines and other parts.
The brand has almost half a century of international motorsport experience, but in the early 1960s Mitsubishi found itself gravitating towards the challenge of off-road racing.
Mitsubishi even had a 30 year long association with Jackie Chan, who used their vehicles almost exclusively in his movies throughout his career.
