Next on the list, and on the second position is the Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer Nissan.
The name “Nissan” originated during the 1930s as an abbreviation used on the Tokyo stock market for Nihon Sangyo.
At this time , the company controlled foundries and auto parts businesses, but Aikawa, its founder, did not enter automobile manufacturing until the year 1933.
Nissan has been part of the Renault–Nissan Alliance since 1993, and was seen as a partnership between Nissan and the French automaker Renault.
The Nissan brand was the sixth largest automaker in the world behind, and taken together, the Renault–Nissan partnership would be the world’s fourth largest automaker.
