7. Land Rover Defender
We made a small introduction in the history of the Defender, and we already know that this model was built from 1983 to 2015, being developed from the original Land Rover Series.
But now we’re going to talk about the change that came in late 1990, when it truly got the name of Land Rover Defender.
Now, the engine upgrade finally allowed the Defender to cruise comfortably at high speeds, and not just only that, now it was quite simple for it to heavy loads speedily on hills while still being economical.
Now this model offered more engine versions: 3 petrol, and 5 diesel to be more specific, and it also had four different transmission types: two 5-speed manual, one 4-speed automatic, and another 6-speed manual.
This was a model with a lot to offer, and wanted to satisfy everybody. The Land Rover Defender even came in 5 different body style ways: as a 3-door station wagon, 5-door station wagon, 2-door single cab pickup, 4-door double cab pickup, and 2-door hardtop.
