Produced since 1989, the LS model from Lexus is a full-size luxury sedan that serves as the flagship model of the company.
Since the LS was launched, four generations were produced, and all of them were equipped with V8 engines and rear-wheel drive.
The original Lexus LS 400 was first to be developed, and it was introduced as the premium marque’s debut model in September 1989.
The name of this model stands for “Luxury Sedan”, and since the start of its production, each generation of the LS model has been produced in the city of Tahara, Aichi, in Japan.
Until 2007, the LS model from Lexus ranked second globally in flagship sales, next to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, with 71,760 Lexus LS cars sold worldwide
