3. Lexus IS
Produced and sold since 1998, the IS is a series of entry-level luxury cars manufactured by Lexus.
Introduced as an entry-level sport model slotted below the ES, the IS model from Lexus was originally sold under the Toyota Altezza nameplate in Japan.
The first generation of the IS model was produced a direct competitor to the luxury sport sedans of the leading European luxury marques.
The second generation on the other had, was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005 as a pre-production model which would debute at the 2005 New York Auto Show that April.
