9. Maserati Khamsin
Produced by Maserati between 1974 and 1982, the Khamsin model is a Gran Turismo automobile.
Designed by Marcello Gandini, the model was introduced as a Bertone prototype in Autumn 1972 at the Turin Auto Show.
The Maserati Khamsin was Bertone’s first work for Maserati, and in March 1973 the production model was shown at the Paris Motor Show, wearing the Maserati badges.
The front-mid mounted engine gave the car a 50/50 weight distribution, and and delivered 320 hp.
Maserati claimed that the European-specification model could reach a top speed of 270 km/h (170 mph).
