6. Maserati Bora
Produced between the years 1971 and 1978, the Bora model is a mid-engined two-seat coupe manufactured by Maserati.
The concept of a mid-engined two-seat sports car was proposed after Citroen took a controlling interest in Maserati back in 1968.
Even though Maserati was known for producing technologically out of date cars, that would change with the Bora model.
The car was equipped with a V8 engine, and was capable of reaching a top speed of 171 miles per hour (275 km/h), this classifying the Bora as a supercar.
The 4.7 L Bora model was produced in a number of 289 units, while the 3.9 L model was built in 275 units.
