7. 1974 PORSCHE 930 (911 TURBO)
Built by Porsche between 1975 and 1989, the 930 was a sports car known to the public as the 911 Turbo.
The 1974 Porsche 930 is the result of Porsche experimenting with turbocharging technology, which started back in the late 1960s.
Only in 1972, the company began the development on a turbocharged version of the 911 which turned the 930 from a sports car to a supercar, and made it almost unbeatable on the track.
Although early U.S. models were badged as “Turbo Carrera”, Porsche decided to introduce the vehicle simply as “Turbo” when debuted it at the Paris Auto Show in October 1974.
