6. 1987 PORSCHE 928 S4
Sold by Porsche AG of Germany from 1978 to 1995, the 928 was a luxury sports-GT car which originally intended to replace the company’s iconic 911.
The 928 was one of the only seven front-engined models Porsche has manufactured sine its inception in 1949.
The Porsche 928 came out with a front-mounted, water-cooled V8, an automatic transmission, radical styling with pop-up headlights and a usable back seat.
All these features were the result of the company and its executives playing with the idea of adding a luxury touring car to the line-up.
And in order to make the car more lightweight, the body was mainly galvanized steel, but the doors, front fenders, and hood were made out of aluminium.
