4. 1987 PORSCHE 959
Porsche 959 was manufactured from 1986 to 1989, mainly as a Group B rally car and later as a legal production car.
The car was designed to satisfy the FIA homologation regulations which required at least 200 street legal units be built.
This twin-turbocharged 959 was considered to be the world’s fastest street-legal production car when it was introduced. And they had all the reasons to do that.
The car was able to reach a speed of 314 km/h (195 miles per hour), and the sport model of it was boasting a top speed of 317 km/h (197 miles per hour).
It was one of the first high-performance vehicles with all-wheel drive, and described to be the most technologically advanced road-going sports car ever built.
