Based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany, Adidas is best known for designing and manufacturing sports shoes, clothing and accessories.
Besides sports footwear, the German company also produces other products such as bags, shirts, watches, eyewear and other sports and clothing-related goods
Founded in 1949 by Adolf Dassler, following a family feud at the Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrikcompany between him and his older brother Rudolf, Adidas is now the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second biggest in the world.
And to back that up, we’ll let you know that the company’s revenue for 2012 was listed at €14.88 billion.
