The commercial skyscraper features 41 storeys and has become an iconic symbol of London, and not to mention, one of the city’s most widely recognized examples of contemporary architecture.
Completed in 2004, The Gherkin is 180 meters tall and is the second tallest building in the City of London.
Its fully glazed double-skinned facade is cooled by extracted air from the offices, thus reducing the overall heat load.
