7. Ford GT
Next on the list is an American mid-engine two-seater sports car manufactured by Ford Motor Company for the 2005 to 2006 model years.
Even though the GT began as a concept car, it was designed in anticipation of the automaker’s centennial year and as part of its drive to showcase and revive its “heritage” names such as Mustang and Thunderbird.
The Ford GT features many new and unique technologies, and is equipped with a mid-mounted 5.4 L Modular V8 engine, and a forged rotating assembly housed in an aluminum block designed specifically for the GT program.
This superb high-performance car has a power output of 550 hp at 6500 rpm, and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0–96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds.
The Ford GT’s top speed is unfortunately electronically limited to 205 mph (330 km/h).
