4. Audi R8
On number four, and next on our list we have the mid-engine, 2-seater sports car introduced by the German automaker Audi AG in 2006.
This car was designed, developed, and manufactured by Audi AG’s high performance private subsidiary company, the Audi R8 is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo platform.
The development program for the R8 started in 2004, when Lamberty’s design were approved and got the thumbs up for production.
And the car was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006.
The R8 was described by the 6-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx as the “best handling road car today”.
