2. Bugatti Veyron
With three more models left on our list, the next supercar is a mid-engined supercar, designed and developed by the Volkswagen Group and manufactured in Molsheim, France, by Bugatti.
Equipped with a 8.0 L (488 cu in) W16 quad-turbocharged engine with a 7-speed DSG sequential transmission, and with a power output of 1200 hp.
The Veyron can accelerate from 0–100 km/h (0.0–62.1 mph) in just 2.46 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 407.12 km/h (252.97 mph).
Bugatti Veyron was even named the “Car of the Decade” by the famous television show “Top Gear”, and even won their “Best Car Driven All Year” award back in 2005.
And its Super Sport version is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph).
