A famous carpet measuring 18 x 19 feet was sold for $4.406 million at Christie’s, in New York.
In the mid 17th century, Parision La Savonnerie was considered the most famous carpet manufacturer.
They produced carpets for the court of Louis XIV, and one of their carpets is today the world’s most expensive carpet.
