9. Ferrari Enzo
Ah, yes, the Italian super car manufactured by the well known automaker Ferrari, and carrying its founder name, the Ferrari Enzo.
This 2 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta supercar was built using Formula One technology, such as a carbon-fibre body, carbon fibre-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic composite disc brakes and F1-style electrohydraulic shift transmission.
The V12 engine on this car is the first of a new generation for Ferrari and is based on the design of the V8 found in Maserati’s Quattroporte.
Equipped with a naturally aspirated engine that produces 651 hp and is able to reach 100 mph (160 km/h) in 6.6 seconds, the Enzo typically trades above $1,000,000 at auctions.
The Enzo was built to commemorate Ferrari’s first formula one title of the new millennium, and it was designed by Ken Okuyama, the Japanese former Pininfarina head designer.
