6. Corvette ZR1
Sixth on our list and next in line is a sports car manufactured by the Chevrolet division of American automotive conglomerate General Motors, the Corvette ZR1.
Which was formally announced in a December 2007, where it was revealed that their target of 100 bhp per 1 L had been reached.
Making this possible was the “LS9” engine with an Eaton-supercharged 6.2-liter engine producing 638 bhp .
This engine was the most powerful to be put into a GM production sports car, and made the ZR1 reach a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
Buyers of the ZR1 were offered the opportunity to assist in the build of their engine. So that would totally be very interesting, don’t you think?
