Patrick Dempsey started his racing career professionally in 2004. He competed in Panoz Racing Series and finished 9th. His biggest racing career is the 24 hours of Le Mans Championship.
He first competed there in 2009. Then in 2013, he returned to the championship with his own racing team. He finally wrapped up last year’s Le Mans on the podium as the runner-up.
The famous Dr. Derek Shepperd in Grey’s Anatomy was actually diagnosed with dyslexia. It is remarkable that he could do well in both acting and racing.
Dempsey is currently single after his second divorce. It appears that he wants to focus on his children now. In a short on-grid interview with Martin Bundle last week, Dempsey said that he will not be racing in Le Mans this year even though his team will compete.
