7. He once donated all of the prize money he won
Djokovic had a hard time growing up as Serbia suffered from war in the early 1990s. But it only made him loves his country even more. As Serbia suffered from disastrous flood in 2014, he dedicated his victory in ATP Rome tournament.
His drawing-heart on clay court action last week in Roland Garros was not his first. He also drew a heart that day in 2014 to let his whole country know that his heart is with them.
The flood might be over. But the damage caused by it had cost billions to repair. Plus, the country has been in recovery process from the 1990s war.
Djokovic knew how daunting the recovery task was. Thus, he contributed even further. He donated his whole prize money from winning the Rome tournament. It was in total of $749,934.
