The rock band U2 has hit the jackpot with their 360 Tour in 2009. Supporting the group’s new album No Line on the Horizon, the tour had an impressive stage design.
The audience was almost completely surrounding the stage due to a massive four-legged structure nicknamed The Claw which was built above the stage, with the sound system and a cylindrical, expanding video screen on top of it.
U2 declared that this was:
the first time a band has toured in stadiums with such a unique and original structure
while the tour promoter and producer Arthur Fogel said:
These numbers are staggering, a fantastic result. U2 have invented a new style of rock show and they continue to deliver their fans the best possible live experience.
