Madonna’s 8th concert tour, Sticky & Sweet was promoting the singer’s eleventh studio album, Hard Candy.
The tour was Madonna’s first tour from her new recording and business deal with Live Nation. The stage setting for the main show was similar to her previous tour in 2006, Confessions Tour.
Sticky & Sweet broke records and became the highest grossing tour by a solo artist, the previous record belonging to Madonna herself. Well, she surely is the queen of pop! This record was broke again by our #4.
The tour is the highest grossing tour by a female artist and the sixth highest grossing tour of all time. In 2009 Madonna’s tour won Top Tour and Top Draw prizes at the Billboard Touring Awards.
