Yes, that is the price of the Densuke Watermelon, which is not even large in size. The solid black exterior has no stripes, the watermelons growing only on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido.
The Densuke Watermelon is usually given as a rare gift, because not many of them are produced annually. So this is the for sure both the world’s most expensive watermelon, and the rarest!
