7. World-class Tourism
Being the world’s second largest in terms of level of biodiversity should make Indonesia the most attractive site for tourism, at least in Southeast Asia.
However, record shows that Indonesia could only attract 10 million foreign visitors in 2015. Compared to other countries in the region, it is relatively low. For example, Singapore managed to attract 15 million.
Instead of looking it as a down part, investors should consider it as a chance for improvement. Besides, since the bombing tragedies, Indonesia has been recovering. In the last nine years, it went from 5 million visitors to 10 million visitors per year.
Indonesia has the potential to attract even more foreign visitors. Maybe it is time for you to take part and boost Indonesia’s tourism sector with your investment.
