4. Total GDP (PPP) Level: 8th in the World
With such abundant commodities, it comes to no surprise that Indonesia manages to generate a good level of GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In fact, it is the highest among other countries in Southeast Asia.
In 2015, Indonesia made a total of $2.84 trillion of PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) GDP. This makes it the world’s 8th best in terms of GDP (PPP).
The country’s GDP growth is also promising. As you can see on the chart, Indonesia’s GDP has been increasing rapidly since 2010.
GDP is one of the primary indicators used to gauge the health of a country’s economy. A good GDP’s level and growth means healthy business to invest.
