3. Lamborghini Aventador
With three more to go, we move on to our next car, and discover that it’s yet another Lamborghini model, this time, the Aventador!
The Aventador was launched on 28 February 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show, and was designed to replace the ten-year-old Murciélago as the new flagship model.
The LP 700–4 uses Lamborghini’s new 6.5 litre 60° V12 engine, that produces a total power output of 690 bhp, so basically, like all the Lamborhini models, this one too is a beast.
It can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h (0–60 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, and the official top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph).
Aventador’s heavy use of sharp creases and planar surfaces are indicative of Lamborghini’s contemporary styling direction which were directly inspired by the F-117A Nighthawk and the F-22 Raptor aircraft.
