2.Edgar Müller in Moscow, Russia

Back in 2009, the famous Edgar Müller was invited to a street art festival in Moscow, Russia, that was organized by the MEGA shopping Centre.

The event took place after the disaster that was caused by the forest and peat fires. Edgar and his team were warned by the media about the disaster that still persisted, but they didn’t quite imagine what was waiting for them down there as he says in an interview:

“The impressions of the following five days (including preparation day) are too hard to describe in words for me. An absurd, almost surreal situation presented itself to us.”

The theme of the painting was completely free of choice, so Edgar got really excited.

Inspired by a previous trip to the island of Cres, he wanted to bring a little of that landscape to Moscow. The first idea he had about the painting was called “The Lagoon”, but given the circumstances that was no longer appropriate.

As a true artist that he is, Edgar succeeded to make an incredible piece of art to fit the sceneray, which was also the first project of his series “Unconditional love”.
