The tip of your tie should rest somewhere between the top and bottom of your belt (but this is the classic way and some rules have changed).
As for the proper length of the tie, this really depends on the person wearing it.For example, Italian ties are longer reaching up to 58″ or 59″ in length,despite Italians being,on average, slightly shorter, while English ties are often 57″.
- If you’re looking to achieve a casual look then your tie should be slimmer.
