10. Mary’s Holy Belt (Price: $10,000)
Mary’s Holy Belt, the Sacra Cintola, is a hand-woven camel-hair belt worn by the Virgin Mary. Legend has it: she handed it to Thomas the Apostle just before she ascended to heaven.
It found its home in the 14th century. For five times a year, the Saint Mary Church in Homs, Syria, display the holy belt. Those times are May 1st, August 15th, September 8th (Mary’s birthday), Christmas, and Easter.
There was an underground church beneath the Saint Mary Church. And it was built in 50 AD. Since then, the church has become the seat of the Syriac Orthodox archbishopric.
The real truth behind this piece of clothing remains unknown. However, its ancient historical value gives it at least $10,000 worth of money.
