11. The Luxurious X-Mansion
Some of the $178 million budget for this film making was definitely for renting the 20,000 acres of property in England. It is the famous X-Mansion. In the movie, it is Charles Xavier’s house where the X-men gathered for study, research, or just hanging out.
In real life, it is called the Englefield House located in Berkshire, England. It was built way back in 1558. Its owner today is Richard Benyon.
The house is not for sale but it is available for rent. However, the gardens are open to public if you want to take a selfie or sit around by the farm. It has received Single Farm Payment agricultural subsidies from the European Union. Not sure if that stands after Brexit, though.
If only it was on sale on today’s market, this mansion can cost up to $60 million. That is only for the property rate. The fact that it has been used as X-Men movie set, the price can go even higher.
