8. Many Languages Spoken
Most Balinese people speak three languages: Bahasa Indonesia, Balinese, and a little bit of English. They have similar accent with Indian people with a very distinctive pronunciation of the letter “T”.
There are also immigrants and domestic travelers in Bali. They came from across the island. Indonesia has thousands of local languages. Thus, these immigrants also speak other languages spoken in where they came from.
If you think those languages may be similar, you are wrong. They are not even close. The words and pronunciation are completely different.
This is a great opportunity for you to learn some of these local languages. Knowing a word or two from more than one language is something you can brag about.
