6.The Design Bar, Stockholm, Sweden
Located in Stockholm, Sweden, The Design Bar is for sure the cool place to enjoy a day out!
Designer Jonas Wagell created an interesting forest-and-the-city installation especially for this bar. The three-dimensional installation was a design made for the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2010.
The bar features designers meant to redecorate it any way they want every year. In 2010, the bar had one of the coolest bar designs in the world: it was divided into 2 parts, the bar being called “the industry”, while the VIP area called “the forest”.
The Design Bar had large suspended ballons on the ceiling, with white clouds over the forest, and grey clouds over the industrial part. The bar’s designs had mountain-shaped cutouts, as well as tree cutouts.
The bar is very comfy, but surprises with its outstanding design.
I want to use small means and simple materials to create an environment with grand expressions and strong character.
