7. Liza Minelli
While other fellow celebrities disagreed with Shia LaBeouf’s attitude towards his own addiction problem, Liza Minnelli was one of the few who stood up for him.
It might come from her personal experiences. The legendary singer and actress has been struggling with substance abuse for a long time.
Her mother, Judy Garland, was struggling with addiction for most of her life. She died of overdose in 1969. Ironically, that was when Liza started taking pills.
Liza fell off the wagon after staying sober for more than ten years. In 2015, she checked into a rehab facility in Malibu, California for her addiction to prescription pills, especially Valium.
