7. Black Lives Matter
This has been a very sensitive matter for decades especially in United States. Some people think it is gradually being resolved or buried with history. But some other think it may just be a ticking bomb.
Unfortunately, the second opinion came to realization on July 6th. Two videos of two African American citizens’ death by police went public. In Baton Rouge, police officer allegedly shot Alton Sterling who was restrained on the ground. And another one allegedly shot Philando Castile who was pulled over for broken rear light.
This triggered public rage. And a movement called Black Lives Matter was roared across the nation. Racism issue rose once again.
This time it got worse. On July 9th, a gunman attacked police officers who were guarding a protest march in Dallas against those two shootings. Five police officers were killed and others were wounded.
